Speaking Topics
A staggering one in three Canadians will struggle with mental health in their lifetime. That’s why Katlyn’s work is so important. She helps audiences take control of their own mental wellbeing, and start their own healing journey.
It took her almost a decade, but coming out as queer to her family and community was the first time Katlyn felt comfortable with her own identity.
A devout advocate for inclusivity and diversity, she empowers others to come to terms with their identity/sexuality. She helps audiences realize that they are not alone in feeling the way they do. But foremost, that they don’t need to hide what makes them different.
In her capacity as Miss Confidence Canada, having endured a lifelong internal struggle with insecurities and self-acceptance, Katlyn holds self-confidence and leadership workshops. In them, she teaches students how to approach any situation with renewed courage and boosted self-esteem.
